Inspiration Point is a hiking area in Santa Barbara, California. The trail begins near the end of the pavement and is wide and maintained. The trail climbs through shady chaparral to a small summit which is another Edison access road, dirt this time. The summit is indistinct, except for the fact that when you reach it you have a beautiful view of the city, the ocean and the Channel Islands.

Arlington Peak is a 3,258-foot (993 m) high peak within the Santa Ynez Mountains located north of Santa Barbara, California, adjacent to the south of La Cumbre Peak and to the southeast of Cathedral Peak. The peak is accessible via a 4.1-mile (7 km) "out and back" trail used for hiking and rock climbing, which is rated as difficult.
The Rock Garden is a hidden boulder field perched on a ridge overlooking Santa Barbara. If the day is clear and the marine layer minimal, we will be gifted grand views of the ocean and the Channel Islands. It can be reached by a short hike of less than a mile from the top of Gibraltar Road. This will give us plenty of time to explore and wander amongst the boulders and beautiful pine trees.
This county park is the portal for the best known off-leash spot in the Santa Barbara area. Dogs are required to be on leash through the parking lot and bathing beach until, passing Arroyo Burro Slough, dogs are welcome to run free and cavort in the Pacific Ocean surf below the city’s Douglas Family Preserve.

Lizard’s Mouth is a mountain top rock formation overlooking Santa Barbara. Wind-carved pockets on the underside of this sandstone outcropping give the rock a resemblance to a frog or lizard’s mouth. The short hike to Lizard’s Mouth offers sensational views and is a quick excursion for anyone traveling the 154 between Santa Barbara and Lake Cachuma or Los Olivos.

The lower park is great for families because of its wide-open spaces and relatively flat grounds that are right next to a large playground.
Live Oak is reservable for large group functions only. Hot showers/restrooms. Accommodates up to 1,500 campers in “open†site fashion, and an additional 2,000 non-camping patrons on a daily basis. Roofed kitchen and eating area seats 250 guests.
The adventure never ends at Cachuma Lake Recreation Area. Tent, yurt, and RV camping, naturalist-guided lake cruises, some of the best fishing to be found in the region, boating, hiking, picnicking, and more. The Area offers a multitude of activity options, plus the option of doing nothing at all.
Tequepis Trailhead is a beautiful trail. You will get gorgeous views of Cachuma Lake while climbing, and great views of the coast when you reach the summit. Another bonus is that there are two geocaches at the top for you to look for.

Mission Rose Garden contains over 1,500 rose plants that are typically in bloom between April and November. The park has a large grassy area making it a great recreational area for families and friends.
Mesa Lane is a secluded, inviting beach located among the Mesa neighborhood in Santa Barbara. A controversial 256 steps will lead you from the "Mesa" to the sand and waves below.
1000 Steps Beach is a narrow beach below homes high on East Mesa bluffs. The dilapidated concrete stairs, originally constructed in the 1920s, show their age. They look downright scary when compared to the pristine stairwell at neighboring Mesa Steps Beach.
